“Within fourteen months, we went from 300 million to 1.2 billion capsules per year and from 13 staff to 100. We have strong ambitions. But in collaboration with 5square, our ambitions are absolutely feasible.
We had a clear plan: to put as many great products on the market as possible, as quickly as possible. That great product? Aluminium coffee capsules, Nespresso compatible. The advantage of our aluminium capsules is that they are completely recyclable after use, in contrast to capsules made of aluminium lined with plastic. Our capsules are collected at the retail level. The aluminium is 100% recycled. The coffee from the capsules goes to composting companies.
We went looking for a financial partner so we could produce as many private-label capsules as quickly as possible. By means of a Sunday barbecue, we happened to come into contact with 5square. Since then, the guys at 5square have felt like colleagues, hands-on partners who understand what we’re up to. And who we can call at any time, even in the evening or at weekends. And that’s only logical, because we share the same motivation: to make the company grow.
And that’s certainly what we are doing. Faster than ever since 5square came on board. Financially, in the sense that new things, new lines and better equipment are making the company more efficient, but also in terms of knowledge and experience. We really are doing business together. Although this is serious business, there is still room for jokes and pranks. We are Cappac and can still just be ourselves, including the well-known Brabant sociability.”
